June 9, 2024 is New Japan Pro Wrestling’s PPV called Dominion. Dominion is synonymous with Bullet Club and surprises for new journeys and always delivers. Jon Moxley is the IWGP Champin (not my champion), and he faced EVIL at Dominion.
This build had little to no story and the match was super disappointing. Using Lumberjacks is a crutch for not building what could’ve been a good story and a nice pay off. Moxley says everyone is tired of House of Torture’s “bullshit” so why did we get a bullshit match?
EVIL spray painted the IWGP Championship and the story fell from there. Moxley vs EVIL at NJPW Dominion was cold and disappointing. Marie Shadows does a deep dive on the whole match and gives perspectives, knowledge about Japanese culture, and opinions to explain why this whole match was story-less and subpar and NJPW has a standard.
