Hey friends,
Welcome back to Discord Notes Vol. 4: No Tweets, Just Thoughts — Wrestling, Music, & Life. This one took me a while to record, but sometimes you just have to get the rust off and remind yourself why you started in the first place.
Discord Notes has always been my escape. Wrestling Twitter gets heavy. Wrestling itself gets heavy. Life gets heavy. So, I needed a side project that let me breathe, where I could talk freely without the pressure of always being “on brand.” That’s what this is.
In this volume, I go deep.
👉 I talk about the wrestling community and how frustrating it is when people you think are solid turn out to be snakes. I’ve lived through it. I’ve lost friends. And it sucks, but I’ve also learned that people come into your life for a season — and when that season’s over, it’s okay to let go. Hard lesson, but freeing.
👉 I also talk about music. Never thought I’d be a country fan, but here we are. Hardy, Chase McDaniel, Warren Zeiders — these guys are storytelling machines. Their songs are cinematic, emotional, raw. They’re giving me the inspiration I need right now to write my cyberpunk novel and keep pushing through rewrites, even when my brain screams, “You’re not good enough.”
👉 And then there’s life. I share a real story about someone on Threads trying to corner me into giving up my subway stop in New York. Like… what? Protect your damn self, online. I grew up in the ’90s — we were taught not to talk to strangers, not to give away private info. And that rule still matters.
This episode is messy, unscripted, honest. It’s me processing out loud. Wrestling, music, life, creativity, safety — all in one. And yes, Discord Notes is sticking around.
Thanks for riding with me.
