We Need To Talk About AEW

Hey everyone,

This is part two of the AEW Talks. We need to talk about AEW. AEW needs some type of structure and consistency. I talk about the following topics:

1. Jon Moxley
   ✨Jon Moxley needs a vacation. Jon Moxley watched the Lion King right before doing his promo against William Regal. He needs some bullet points for his promo.

2. An AEW fan fantasy booked -1 (a child, Brodie Lee’s kid) to have a villain origin story when he turns 18 because Dark Order 10 turned his back on the group.
   ✨I understand that the Dark Order went through a sad time, but I still think someone should have stepped up to be leader. I also think AEW needs to stop using children to get over because they can’t get over by themselves organically. I think the AEW fans should calm down with their fantasy booking of others that haven’t got the time to grow up yet.

3. Athena’s heel turn
   ✨Athena’s heel turn started on AEW Dark and Elevation mostly and then like twice on Rampage. All the heel stuff was done to call out Mercedes Martinez for a ROH Women’s Championship match. It would have been great for Athena to showcase this mean side, this heel side of her on the main show because those viewers and ratings matter (we can have a debate about this later). If the YouTube show caps out at 200k viewers and slowly raises over the weeks, that’s not a good measuring stick. YouTube is designed to entice you to click on the next recommended video to watch so you are clicking off the original video you wanted to watch is easier. With cable, you can change the channel, and some will during commercials, however, we’re lazy with the remote.

4. The differences between a program and a story.
   ✨A program is the start of an angle that should be developing into a story that should make sense.
