Hey everyone! Happy Friday.
Let me first apologize for my mind to ever changing. I am one person working on everything and talking behind the scenes to get booked on more shows to do commentary work and try to get my health in order and even trying to fit in streaming.
Changes:
Ringside Rambles might start 2024. I need a good marketing strategy for it to take off. Ringside Rambles was supposed to be mini articles talking about wrestling terms and even experiences from myself and others, but I haven’t put it out for others to be hyped and want to contribute. I don’t know who’ll contribute for free. I know most would like some type of compensation, but I can’t do that. I barely get readers to upgrade to paid. But yeah, Ringside Rambles will be back in 2024 - hopefully.
While I’m hiding Ringside Rambles, I thought about doing a cool thing with the Substack Chat. I was watching the show 1923 on Paramount and the older wife would write to her youngest nephew letters. So why not turn that into a letter to you guys from the perspective of a Ring Crew member? Or letters from the perspectives of the characters I want to use in my wrestling novel. Or both? It’ll be good journaling for me, give insight to you guys, and I’ve been saying since 2018 I want to write my wrestling novel. Maybe that’ll help with planning and getting the right voice. Plus, my wrestling novel for the first book it’ll be written from a male point of view. I’ve never written from a male’s perspective. I’ve always written female characters, so this exploration could be fun. Would you be interested in reading something like that in the Substack Chat?
Fellow Substack writer
writes . She explores different topics but recently shared with us via Notes that she’s using a program to create voicemails and it’s been a hit. I think that’s a good idea and the engagement will be great too. So I’m looking into it and will share the first link with everyone soon.
Aside from those ideas, here’s what happening for the weekend.
Today was supposed to be show day.
I was supposed to make my Invictus debut to have a tryout guest commentary spot for the women’s match. But due to thunderstorms in my area, the whole show was postponed until next Friday, Aug 11th. This causes trouble for me because August 12th is the North Carolina show. I’m trying to see if they are going to rent a bus so myself and others can go down there, and I can do commentary for that show.
Tomorrow - August 5th and 6th:
I’m covering Play NYC! I’ll be testing out games and interviewing the game developers and enjoying the after party of the convention. My boyfriend (RavageDragon) and I will have the two-day vlog up on Ravagelands Production YouTube Channel. I’m excited to be covering Play NYC again. We covered two different events for them. All great times.
In another post I’ll talk about paid upgrades and sponsorships and streaming. Thank you for reading this.
Please let me know your thoughts.
