Jon Moxley signs a 5-year extension deal with All Elite Wrestling.
Jon Moxley has now become exclusive to AEW, can work with NJPW as requested, and has acquired a coach/mentor position in addition to being the World Champion of AEW. More in the press release.
Jon Moxley has signed a five-year contract extension. This is an exclusive deal to have Jon Moxley as an AEW guy. During the years of AEW no one was truly exclusive except for the EVPs obviously. However, AEW wrestlers are able to work indie dates. Reports will say that those indie dates need to be approved by Tony Khan while others say that it doesn’t need approval.
Over the weekend, Jon Moxley wrestled his last match at GCW in Atlantic City, NJ. He dropped the belt back to Nick Gage with some AEW interference. The Firm, a new stable formed in AEW, helped out Nick Gage to win back the GCW title.
Now that Moxley has this 5-year extension he can focus solely on AEW and wrestle for NJPW from time to time. He’s also going to be a coach/mentor to the wrestlers in the locker room.
What kind of coach/mentor will he be if the locker room feels hostile with some of the wrestlers there?
Who will he be coaching and mentoring in AEW?
Why couldn’t Tony Khan hire an actual coach/mentor that has a proven track record of bringing unity to companies?
