Almost Joined A Cult and Commentary Life
A Goddesses of War Wrestling Blaze of Glory after party discussion from Aberdeen New Jersey to NYC
Almost Joined The Awakening!
I contemplated documenting my journey and the trek to reach The Highline Arena without much transportation. The day involved walking in hot 70-degree weather, which, unfortunately, didn't bode well for my freshly straightened haircut. However, at that moment, I didn't feel compelled to do so—I lacked the energy.
This newsletter primarily focuses on sharing my wrestling journey through podcasts, vlogs, and writing. However, the effort I had been expending in pursuit of sponsorships across various social media platforms left me feeling drained. I preferred to create vlogs for your enjoyment rather than subject you to a rant or the less glamorous side of walking 9,000 steps from the New Jersey Aberdeen-Matawan train station to McDonald's, followed by another 8,000 steps to The Highline Arena, with a slight detour. Nevertheless, we successfully reached the venue.
I wasn't certain if lengthy, winding sidewalks, charming houses, glistening sunrays, and bustling traffic would make for captivating vlog content, even with my and Ravage's commentary. While it would have offered picturesque scenery, I found myself complaining due to the heat, resulting in sweat and a less than presentable appearance. Sometimes, you just can't have it all.
We get there. I mingle with everyone, saying hello through hugs or handshakes. That’s the rule in wrestling. Make sure you greet everyone — mostly everyone is ok too. I got reunited with Candance Cordelia. Candance is my commentary partner for the Goddesses of War Wrestling Blaze of Glory show. We had a blast calling the action! I’m so thankful for her energy during the surprise attack that happened to Tiffani Avatar after her match!
I talked with Ivy Malibu — she’s a graduate of The Nightmare Factory and she can squat 315 pounds. She just started her story at Goddesses of War Wrestling, so let’s give it time before the inevitable: Finish The Story!
I talked with Vita Vonstarr. She’s humbled and fun to talk about her character which is: she’s a cult leader. So…I may have been contemplating over the weekend and at the broadcast table about joining. Vita Vonstar has a group called The Awakening.
After Goddesses of War Wrestling ended, we went into intermission so the show could now be for Titan Championship Wrestling.
We almost didn’t make it home. The rest of the funds I had wasn’t enough to pay for two train tickets — a total of $29.50 — to get home to NYC. Our ride left us after an incident but after much asking around, we managed to get a ride from one of the girls. We got treated to pizza. Who doesn’t love pizza. And while on the way home, almost had an accident because a reckless driver did a full stop on the George Washington Bridge. The force of the stop to avoid the accident left a bruise on my shin. Collectively, we’re all ok. And Ravage and I made it home.
Commentary Life
I started my commentary journey on May 20th for Goddesses of War Wrestling. I went from official podcaster to commentator, and I’m committed to this amazing job where I call the action and put wrestlers and their stories over as they perform for us in the ring. It’s the coolest job. It’s the best job. And since then, I’ve been consistently booked by Goddesses and had the opportunity to shine on Invictus Pro Wrestling calling the women’s match and the main event of J Boujii vs Flip Gordon.
If you watch the match, please let me know what you thought of me on commentary.
I’m always looking for more commentary opportunities.
Well, that was my Goddesses and Titan night at The Highline Arena.
