World Wrestling Entertainment released the 12 WWE Superstars that will be in the tournament, vying to become the first ever World Heavyweight Champion at Night of Champions. In my previous posting about the upcoming tournament, Triple H mentions how the tournament will proceed.
Monday Night RAW will hold two triple threat matches and the winners from the two matches will battle again in the same night so only one winner is declared and will go to the finals at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
Friday Night Smackdown will hold two triple threat matches and the winners from the two matches will battle again in the same night so only one winner is declared and will go to the finals at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
Representing RAW are the following:
🔴Seth Rollins
🔴Shinsuke Nakamura
🔴Damien Priest
🔴Finn Balor
🔴The Miz
🔴Cody Rhodes
Representing Smackdown are the following:
🔵AJ Styles
🔵Austin Theory
🔵Bobby Lashley
🔵Sheamus
🔵Rey Mysterio
🔵Edge
There is no word on the formation of the triple threat sets. The match card for Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown has yet to be announced and WWE and Triple has teased us with the 12 participants. In the lineup, not one superstar is a free agent.
Who are you picking to be in the finals?
My pick: Shinsuke Nakamura
Runner up: Cody Rhodes
Runner, runner up: Damien Priest
This tournament has amazing contenders so it will be interesting to see what happens.

In case you missed it:
Since 12 eventually is divisible by 3, this has all the makings of a Vince triple-threat match, which are rarely any good. It definitely seems like Shinsuke is getting a push, but I think Priest is a future world champion. Whether it's his time now or not, is to be seen. Seth Rollins is also well-deserving of a run with a world title.
